68RFE is a weak transmission. It is basically a 48RE with 2 more gears and electronics. There is no magic bullet to keep a 68RFE alive. You I had a 2000 with the 47re and now the new (to me) 68rfe. One word. Amazing. The engine brake works incredibly well and with the computer Jake explains why a good tuning is extremely important and clear communication is a must between the customer and builder.
